The convex enamel dial signed Mathieu à Paris set into a drum case on a pedestal cast with scene of two cherubs catching a bird and surmounted by the dark patinated figure of Diane the huntress sat with her gilded bow and quiver of arrows. The sides mounted with dark figures of satyrs sat on demi-lune ledges above a D-ended breakfront plinth embellished with bands of voluted scroll foliage, 21 ins (53 cms) in height.
